South East Volunteers

[two-third]
South East Volunteers (formerly Monash Volunteer Resource Centre) has been supporting the community of Monash since 1985. We connect volunteers with opportunities in community organisations. Each year more than 1600 volunteers are placed in over 400 Community Service Organisations. We provide a range of services for the frail aged and people with disabilities and their carers, including a Safety Register to regularly check on members who may feel isolated. We also manage CrimCheck, a web-based police checking service for community organisations. South East Volunteers:

  • Recruits and trains volunteers for our own services and for placement at hundreds of other community organisations, creating a strong community sector.
  • Delivers training to organisations who work with volunteers so that volunteers receive strong support.
  • Provides transport for people with limited mobility, supporting them to lead an independent life.
  • Runs social activities and events for people who feel isolated, creating new friendships and memorable times.
